DMAHL Scrapbook/Photograph Album 2008-2012

The album contains items in English and Spanish and begins with photographs of DMAHL outreach at a Cinco de Mayo event at Pike Park in 2008. The next items are of DMAHL exhibits in Fair Park including “Los Barrios: The Impact of the Mexican American Barrios in Dallas, 1907-1970.” There are promotional materials related to DMAHL and its mission, materials related to the 2009 “Los Primeros” Fair Park DMAHL exhibit and the “Los Barrios de Dallas” exhibit. The album has photographs of a bus tour of Dallas for Hispanic Organization for Genealogy and Research (HOGAR) members attending their national convention. Photographs of Oakland Cemetery historical marker and of a church are in this album along with various convention materials and HOGAR brochures. There are photographs of a DMAHL exhibit and reception at the Dallas Public Library’s Lakewood Branch Library. A White Rock Lake Weekly article about DMAHL and Conchita Orona Franco is included in the album along with an accompanying note by Franco pointing out factual error with corrections. There are photographs of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge opening.
